A tech benefit scheme is a salary sacrifice scheme that allows employees to buy technology products at a lower cost. The money is taken from an employee’s salary and the cost can be spread over time – benefiting from National Insurance savings.

This gives employees affordable access to the hottest technology products, so they can stay on-trend with the latest smartphones, laptops and more.

What retailers are in the Boostworks tech benefit scheme?

Our partner, TechBenefits, offer a fantastic selection of products including laptops, TVs and phones. They’re an authorised Apple Reseller and work with other leading retailers such as Bose, Sonos, Beats, Philips, Microsoft, Samsung and more.

Is the tech benefits scheme tax-free?

Although the tech scheme isn’t tax-free, it’s cost-neutral for the employer and can reduce an employee’s taxable income (no National Insurance to pay). 

As it follows a salary sacrifice model, employees will give up part of their salary for the benefit.

How much will the tech benefit scheme cost my business?

Once you’re up and running with your Boostworks scheme and have our Boost Benefits available on your platform, there are no additional up-front or ongoing costs to adding the tech benefit scheme, so you can start offering it to employees immediately without having to discuss budgets.
